Unfortunately I'm near the end of the level. I'm in the area after the trapped corridor and there is a lone DeathKnight patrolling the area.

I avoid it and sneak into the chamber with the lieutenant and tried to kill him and his soldiers. However the DeathKnight keeps interupting the battle and kills both my characters off.

How can I avoid this bugger? He can't be hurt either. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Hmm, when I play through the game I can kill every single one of those... things.

Just try running? Sneaking? Get potions and try to face him I guess. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

The DK patrols should not be that hard to kill. If you stick to the south western area, you should be able to take it out without attracting the guards' attention. You can repeatedly sneak close and attack with a bow or magic, then withdraw before it sees you.
If not, try running into the room and then run back out and through the trapped corridor. With any luck they will be hurt or killed chasing after you, making them easier to take care of.

I snuck past the Dath Knight and then I done the General's quest which in turn gave me a very good sword.
