All,

I just got the game last weekend. So far a good play <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

But I am noticing that some of the mosters in the randomly generated dungeons in the battlefield (I only have access to the first one so far) can be in the black interior sections. I found some other threads that touched on this but I could not tell what patches have come out since.
Is there a plan to add a test to the generator to ensure the spawn site is on the map for a future patch?

Monsters that are hiding out of the gamespace, is a common problem yes... Because the Battlefields are randomly generated, you can immagine how difficult it is to eliminate that completely.

Compared to the initial release of the game (before patches), the patches has removed a LOT of those hidden monsters.... but a few still remains.

The poison arrows can currently shoot through a couple of places in the walls, so if you are REALLY persistent, you can always take the extra time and kill them off.

IMO the battlefields are long enough as it is, without having to spend the extra couple of hours trying to kill harmless puppies (with bad teeth).

Thanks. I did not know the poison arrows would do that, but I did manage to find a spot at a corner where I could see a skeleton that was in there.

The only way to do it that I can think of would be to have a very complex bounds checker and with a random dungeon, that would be quite a piece of code.

I agree that there are enough targets as is <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
