After freeing the Imp Chiefton's son, and him escorting me to the Chiefton, we talk. The Chiefton's son leaves us alone with the Chiefton. After talking to the Chiefton, I get experience points for saving the chiefton's son. Then my health goes to zero and I die... I've tried this varous times from my last save - right before exiting the prison - but have not had any luck... Any suggestions out there would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks!

Is the DK being attacked outside by hostile tibars, or something?
Try setting him to aggressive (right click on portrait) before you cross the lava, and exit the chieftain's house immediately after the conversation is over.

Thanks for the advice... I've tried a couple of times, but have not gotten it to work correctly. There are hostile Tibers outside. It looks like they hit my DK twice and he dies...

He should not die in a couple of hits. Even when you first get to the village, I think tibars should be more of an annoyance than a threat, unless there are a lot of them.

Did you try exiting out of the conversation with the chieftain right away, and leaving the hut? You can return after that to talk to him.
Do you have any recent saves before the tibars turned hostile?
Do you have time to pause the game when the conversation ends, and maybe enter the battlefields to teleport the DK to safety?
If you have your DK drink the largest strength/agility/survival/speed potions you have just before exiting the prison, does that help any?

Why not take the DK in to talk to the Chieften, thats what I did. Click on hero then on party ie bottom right of hero.

I've been able to get the DK into the chieftans hut by selecting him as the first character, stopping my conversation with the chieftan, and then entering the hut when it goes back to the DK outside. I've saved my game inside the hut. However, this does not appear to have done me any good because as soon as I go outside and meet a tiber, one hit from the tiber kills me... It doesn't matter if the hit is my DK or main character...

Check your characters' fire resistance. I re-loaded a save just after exiting the chieftain's hut and attacked a tibar to turn it hostile. About 80% of its attacks missed, and those that hit only did from 10 to 20 fire damage.
Also, check the tibars' level (they were level 9 in my game). If you are not particularly vulnerable to fire damage, then they may be unusually tough for some reason.

Do you have the patch installed?
Is the crystal bag working normally? A glitch with the crystal bag should only effect one character, though...

I had the same problem before I installed the patch - all monsters in and around the imp village were way too tough for me. Like, my tibars were like level 40 which made it almost impossible to kill them (especially when they came in groups *shrugs* Didn't stop me to keep trying and die in a row, though) So if you haven't installed the patch yet I would highly suggest it!

Thanks for all of the suggestions... I installed the new patch which didn't seem to correct the issue... I did find a version that was about 1 day older that will work. The only schtuff that I missed was the exploration of the first battlefield in act 2. It's really no big deal... About 3 hours from where this save game is... Thanks!
