Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems Disappearing act......

Having a problem at times with everyone disappearing, NPC's show up in the mini map as a green + but do not appear to even click on them to talk. Monsters just show up as red +'s but not visible to target for a fight. I am in the game near the sword in the stone and suddenly this has happened, Along with this, the "fog"...the dark uncharted areas do not clear when tread up on by my hero. Will the patch fix this.? I have plenty of RAM and memory on this machine, but need help here. Thanks, Domer [color:black] [/color]

The patch should fix this; there was a possible problem with the sight range calculations.

Thanks Raze. Trying to download the patch now...like trying to pull teeth though..coming in awfully slow and I would rather be playing...

Well...the patch didn't help at all. Still can't see anything and can't clear the fog from a map. Anybody want to buy a used version of this game..??? Too frustrating for me to go that far and then not be able to venture further.

Maybe uninstall and then reinstall.Maybe patch only works on new or fresh game.Not games in progress.Don't know.Wish I knew more to help you.

I think the patch is suppose to correct this retroactively, not just prevent it from happening in new games. A couple people have still had problems after installing the hotfix or patch, though.

Use iZakaroN's SaveEditor to put points in Elven Sight and Ranger Sight; hit the 'Redistribute Points' button so you don't have to use your own skill points.

Alternately, use the item editor mentioned in please help with my blind hero to give something a +15 (etc.) sight bonus.

I guess it's time to admit defeat and toss in the towel. I tried the editor..the patch...everything and still no luck. The game WAS great fun for a while, now back to real RPG's that let you finish.. My rating of the game: overall POOR
