I'm no great chef, but I am often complemented on my cooking.

All I do is add flavour to the meat. Something like Worchestershire sauce with corriander or garlic on red meat is very nice. Just make sure you cook the meat slowly, about half-flame on modern stoves. It makes it nice and tender. And don't forget to have vegetables and cereal (pasta, rice, cous-cous, ...) with it.

@ Mea -> If you are paying for dinner, can I come along?

Your menu looks delicious. *yummmmmmmmmmmm*

@ Gal -> How about posting me a piece of your cake so I can try it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

If it is as good as you say it is then I will be begging for the receipe.
Although that wouldn't do me any good. I'm a horrible cook. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Lady Sarah that's not bad advice around my house. Like I said I am a terrible
cook.

But..... if Gal posts her famous cake recipe, I just might have to give it a try
since she makes it sound so delicious. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Anybody else got any good recipes that I might try? My family will love you if
I end up getting it right. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Ok, here it goes.
This recipe is so easy and yet so delicious. I can't cook either, but this is one that can't go wrong.
What you need: An oven (how did you know??) warm it up to 200°C
400 g flower (use the pasteryflower) Is it the right word?
400 g of eggs (use them completely, you don't have to split the eggwhites or so)
400 g of sugar
400 g of butter (if you like you can use soya-butter or any other lightproduct, it doesn't make any difference in taste)
3 packs of vanille-sugar (about 8g per pack)
1 pack of backing powder (about 16 g per pack)
50 g of chocolatepowder (you have to use the one that you need for chocoalte milk, with the sugar allready in it, we have brands like Nesquick)
(If you like you can try it out with chocolatechips, or little pieces of chocolate, raisins or nuts)
Way of work: warm up your butter, not cooking or it will turn brown and that gives a very bad taste to your cake. Mix your butter with your sugar, vanillesugar and all the eggs. Then you put in your flower and your backingflower also. you have to mix it very good, so no clumps will appear (you can use a mixer for that)
Split your dow in half and use one half to mix it with the chocolatepowder. Poor the white dow in your backingshape you first make your shape greasy with butter or use backingpaper, I'm not a fan of the paper) and then poor the brown dow over your white. Put it in your oven and turn your oven on 180°C. Let it bake for 45min., after the 45 min. you have to use a wooden stick to poke in the cake. If there is nothing sticking on the stick, your cake is ready.
Let it cool daown a little while and take it out of the form on a nice plate. If you like you can put some white powdersugar on it, or poor some melted chocolate over it. Just experiment with all the good stuff there is!!
Good luck and Bon appetît!!
BTW: If any words aren't correct, please exept my appologies and you may correct them any time!

I can give you a real rare thing : A receipe from the game "Stonekeep" ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

It's located on the CD-ROM of the game.

I found another receipe in "Return to Krondor", but must install it first before I can see it (and copy it) again.

Tim Cain's Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins
-----------------------------------------
They're the Shadowking's favorites!

1 2/3 cup flour 1 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves 1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs 1 cup pumpkin (half of a 16 oz. can)
1 cup chocolate chips 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), melted

Preheat oven to 350. Grease muffin tins (one dozen regular sized)
or use baking cups. Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves,
baking soda, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Break eggs
into another bowl. Add pumpkin and butter and whisk until blended.
Stir in chocolate chips. Pour over dry ingredients and stir until just
blended. Do NOT overstir! Scoop batter into tins and bake 20-25
minutes. After cooling, keep muffins wrapped in plastic to avoid drying.

When you find a big kettle of crazy, it's best not to stir it.

Take a ovenproof Form and ?capers? Oliveoil over the Form.
Then give a Sheep Cheese in it.
ad some Garlic(chopped), Onion(rings), and Chili pepper(rings too), and if you like some Debreziner or Cabanossi Sausage.

Then give all in the oven 200°C for 15 min covered with an Aluminum foil, and 5 min without the foil.

You can try to Vary the oven times, and ad some other things.

I like
sweet pepper (red, or green) and little cocktailtomatoes, maybe Cherrytomatoes? (but be carefull, if you dont cut the little Tomatoes, they will be very hot inside. But uncut they taste best)

Best Time to make this is Saturday, then you can get enough Garlic <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Maybe you can guess? See what comes out the oven?? Haha!!
Nono, it's that cake I was reffering too. Remember? In one of my earlier posts?? It's called Quatre-quarts with chocolate. It's called that way, because you need the same amount for the four main ingrediënts you need. If you have a small cakeshape, you can reduce your amounts to 250g or so. But it's very likely that you would have such a big cakeshape as mine. Since I make that cake almost every month... [Linked Image]

Okay, this one was in my german version of the RPG "Return to Krondor". A localized version should contain an translated version of that, I assume.

I found it on a scroll labelled "recipe for Chai". I don't know what Chai is, though. Sounds like some beverage.

Quote
4 Beutel Schwarztee
ca. 1,5 Liter Wasser
10 Körner Kardamon
2 Stangen Zimt, in der Mitte durchgebrochen
1 Prise schwarzer Pfeffer
3 TL Zucker

In kleinen Tassen servieren.
