Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Quick act 1 question spoilers ahoy

I've started replaying (well restarting i never got past act II before my last comp went kaboom) and this has slightly puzzled me so any help would be greatly appreciated (i hope the spoiler tabs work *crosses fingers*)

yes....but you won't gain the skill unless you have invested points into it first....does that even make sense??? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" />

best bet is to drag the book into inventory first, it's just too bad we can't know what the skillbook is first, before reading it!
That's why i have saved all my found skillbooks... until i get enough exp. to invest some points into those particular skills.... does that make sense too??? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Actually, that particular book is not a skillbook... It's a book of healing, and will permanently increase the vitality (I think...) points of the character who picks it up. By 60 points. And then, yes, it disappears without a trace. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
