Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Technical Problems Sounds stops playing after some time:-(!

hi, i just started playing <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> . after playing for some time (20-60 mins) all the sound and the music stops playing. sometimes only the noise of walking stops playing and sometimes as i said all the sounds. i own the german version and i installed the latest patch (1.45 for the german version). i also have the latest drivers fpr my soundcard (nvidia nforce).

any ideas how i can fix this?

This has been a known issue <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

The easiest way to fix this is to enter the battlefields and then exit again...

Other things that sometimes fixes the problem:

1. Casting a spell that has a sound effect
2. Going up or down stairs
3. If there is an area that is "peaceful" like a town. Run in and out of the town (it triggers different music files to play).

No the latest patch didnt fix this...

Larian concentrated on getting all of the consistent and serious bugs sorted out. A couple of small ones (that very few people encounter in any case) and some of the intermittent ones were left.

There are very few people who encounter this, and normally this is only after a few hours of gameplay.
