Hi everybody,

I'm looking for someone with some good FLASH programming knowledge to help me with a game I want to make.

I haven't been able to find a single tutorial on the web to help me make a point and click interface.

The game is a 3d isometric adventure game, I'm doing all the graphics. For an unfinished screen shot example go here.

http://www.freewebs.com/plowking/graham_graphics_1.jpg

It's likely to be set in the 1920's, hence the old style cooker. Everything was drawn by me, textured with royalty free textures. Also, everything you see on screen is a seperate symbol, so I would like to have a character walk behind the chairs and in front of them too, naturally.

Does anyone know of someone who could help me with a game engine? Or at least point me to a good tutorial about this kind of thing.

I would even accept keyboard control instead, but then I'm left with the problem of the character moving about in front of and behind objects. I think it can be done as I've seen it elsewhere.

PM me please if you have any ideas.
Cheers... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

I would say you should ask Ddraigfyre! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Leads back to the starter site <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />. Searching for IE to see if it'll work better there... No, it didn't. So sorry, Plowking, but your link is broken <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />.

First impression was Sims, to be honest. But it looks nice, so to say <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.

quicktime-vr could be an option, don't know if it works within Flash, it does within Director, wich can export in the shockwave format. altho you wouldn't get the pixel quality.

Maybe you should work with a grid, invisible symbols that act as locaters, per scene the parts of the grid have actions, like walk here, elsewhere: if gridsection(this.section.x+1 is active or x-1 ...) open drawer, move chair. All build your grid in the same isometric dimensions, floor and 2 walls.

Cheers, that's one possibility. Certinally a way around things...going to look into that now actually. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />
