<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" /> Welcome to the forum

There are a few things that can cause this....

1. Make sure that you have disc 2 in the drive (disk one will give you a poorly worded error, making it sound like you need a code)

2. If you have an Australian version of the game, then there should be a cd key required when you install the game.

3. If your disk 2 is slightly damaged, it may not be able to verify the disk correctly. Click on the "information" button, (it may take a while), and save the error.txt to a easily accessible location. then email it to support@larian.com with a short discription of your problem. They will be able to give you a special code that will force the copy protection to accept the damaged cd.

Hope this helps <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

yes, thank you greatly. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

if the "error" simply would have SAID i had the wrong disk in, it would have simplified things consideribly. =|

It probably would have also helped if the North American version was labeled something like the UK version ('installation CD' and 'game-CD'), rather than just disk 1 and 2.
