Ok.
I am trying to do the silver armor treasure "easter egg" thing.

I am UNABLE to use CTRL to get a pop up to select a certain ammount of gold from a pile.

Because of this I cannot get the "correct" ammount of gold to proceede.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried left ctrl, right ctrl, alt, shift ... all with no luck.

(version 1.34 btw)

About the CTRL key i don't know.
But you can get exactely 2002 GP by other ways.
Drop your gold somewhere and go to a merchant with things to sell.
Then sell some stuff for exactely 2002 GP.
You can also spend money bying things.

Actually, I thought I bleeded all my merchants dry, but I just went to armorsmith in ars magicana and he had lots of cash, so I was able to get the 2002.

Now I can continue.

** Side note **

It should be mentioned that you cannot touch any of the treasure that is there.
When I picked it all up, then used the portal (still only 2002 gold) ... I was teleported out side at the main entrance, not in the easter egg area.

FYI, you need to hold the control key down as you drop a stack of items (into or out of your inventory or a container) to get the split stack pane.

Merchant inventories regenerate after around 10 or 15 minutes real time (though they can hang on to some stuff you sell them, which remain at the top of the list).

I tried that Raze.

Holding CTRL down as I dragged the stack out.
Holding CTRL down as I dragged the stack in.
Holding CTRL down as I clicked on the stack.

Was the Ctrl key held down when you released the left mouse button at the end of drag-and-dropping a stack somewhere? You should be able to hit the Ctrl key at any time before or during a left click and drag to get the split stack window, as long as it is held down when the mouse button is released.

Can you quicksave/load with the default hotkeys (Ctrl-S / Ctrl-L)?

Yup, ctrl-s and ctrl-l work fine.

Yup, ctrl was being held when left mouse button was released.
Tried with ctrl held down entire time I dragged and dropped too. No luck.

Interesting isn't it.

No biggie, I am past the part that I needed the 2002 gold. As long as there isn't a spot where I need to break up another stack of something I will be fine.
