I've completed the Stone Axe quest yet I don't receive a quest from the King of the Dwarves. Have I not done something?

Also, I've accessed the basement underneath the healer's house in Verdistis, but I can't figure out how to kill the tree with the tea. What am I supposed to do?

If you bring the king the axe and letter, he should tell you about the armour.

Stand close to the tree, open a barrel of tea, and toss it at the tree. Save first, in case you don't get the hang of it before killing the tree (I moved a couple of open barrels, not realizing that would set them off, but still had one left to kill the tree with).

What letter are we talking about?

In a room north east of where the Black Ring member disappeared the second time, there is a letter implicating the king's brother in the theft of the axe.
