i bought a skill from olaf for 2000.the money has been taken out dut i dont see any skill in my box. what is proper procedure for buying from teachers pease. also unrelated to the skill i found the boon in left cell and im supposed to hve it for quest later. i cant get it into inventory, and am concerned if i jump into pit i cnt get bk to get it. apologies for being so wordy this first post

First off, when you pay to learn a skill, you are only buying the ability to learn the skill. The next time you level up, you will see that what you just learned will be available in the skill tree under it's respective category, and if that's what you want, go ahead and use your skill point there. Otherwise, it'll be waiting on you for later use.

As for the item in the cell that you want, I'm having a hard time recalling which item you are referring to, but any object that doesn't automatically go into your inventory when you click on it can be added to your inventory by clicking on it and dragging it to one of the 2 character portraits in the upper left corner of the screen. Whoever you drop it on will have that item in their inventory.

You will be able to get back to the starting level after jumping down the pit, but it will take awhile to do so.

Have you installed the patch? There was a bug in the unpatched game learning some of the skills in the BF.
