1. The prelude always shows a male warrior being killed. It would be nice to see the prelude after you select your new character and see that person being killed. I know it would be a lot more work, but maybe an idea for a future game.

2. I have progressed 3 characters into the wasteland. All have the same symptoms. The sand deamons/devils die normally. But the Imps take 30 to 90 seconds to die. Meaning, I have to stand there that long to see if they drop something. They stay a light color while dying and a darker color when they finally die, then they drop whatever they would normally drop. Is this a glitch in my game or my puter?

one more... I killed Penurmba? and have not gotten the quest to rescue her. Is that good or bad?

If DD2 uses the game engine for the introduction rather than pre-rendered video, it would be flexible enough to show whatever character customizations are available. Pre-rendered video has until recently had a significant advantage with image quality, and can be tweaked a lot more than a scripted game sequence. If they do use a video and show a playable character, they may choose a generic appearance and hide them under a cloak or in shadow, to leave the gender and class open to interpretation (similar to what was done in the cutscene videos in Beyond Divinity).

I have not heard of that problem with imps before, though there is a similar issue. If you mix any 2 of Frost on a weapon, Stun on a weapon and the passive Stun skill, it can cause an opponent to freeze in mid death animation. An area effect spell that does not need a target, such as Hell Spikes, would force the animation to finish. Some people found that either waiting or sleeping would also help.

Do the imps stay on your mini-map as red crosses until they finally die? Perhaps Hell Spikes could speed things up?

There is a file verification procedure described in the topic below, which could help you determine if the problem is with the game itself (perhaps a corrupt animation) or conflict with something else in your system.
Troubleshooting Tips (& manual install procedure)

Had you talked for Corinna before entering the thieves' guild, you would have gotten the quest to rescue Penumbra. By killing her you only miss out on a quest to help Corrina summon a demon, after which she would have taught you a level of banish. Also, you need to have freed Penumbra to get 'special treatment' in the cellar under Leptine's shop in Verdistis.

Thank you for the info. All the weapons I keep have frost damage and I use the passive stun and death blow. The red x is gone after the fight and I can not target them again.

Is there a purpose for the KAA scrol in the first quest at the warriors guild?

Are there any treasures under the boulders? I have moved several ton of them but I haven't found anything. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/offtopic.gif" alt="" />

Creatures with the hanging death animation can not be targeted either, which is why an area effect spell that doesn't need a target is required to force completion.
You could try a different weapon, to see if the frost/stun combination is the problem. If that helps but you do not want to give up frost weapons, you can use iZakaroN's SaveEditor (or from Kiya's site, with description) to remove the skill points you put into the passive Stun skill.

The Kaa Gent scroll is a reference to a soccer team.
Catacombs under Warrior's Guild query...

There are no treasures under single boulders, though a couple may be partly or fully hiding a key (which hitting the alt key should bring up the description for). If you see a pile of boulders (or crates, etc) then check it out; several piles either contain treasure or block a door/hatch leading to another room.
