Needless to say, I'm new at this game. I have read a lot about tossing a teleport stone. How do you get your character to toss something? Do you just drag it out of your inventory and place it somewhere or does your character actually toss it? If so, how do you get in toss mode?

Just open up your inventory and 'drag and drop' your item on the ground.

People particularily do this with the teleporting stone so that they can bypass certain borders or people they normaly cannot (for example, if a person won't let you past him in a quest, just drag and drop one stone behind him/her and use your other one to teleport to your fist one him/her).

you can use "drag and drop" and use shift at the same time then you can move the screen and drop it. you can travle far that way.
(trees and stufs can block your toss)
