hey all

I was in put in jail by elona(after being thrown out of stormfist castle) or something, the cat freed me. explored the dungeon a little bit, came the the letter thingie who askes if you would like to ascend to the next level, I though wel lets explore the rest of the dungeon and come back later. So I explored and found the stairs leading upwords, I saved and went up them. there the cat came again and gave me the quest to find zandalor in the sewers. At that point i returned to the dungeon to explore the whole place. Now when I went in the cava a really annoying sound start en gets louder and then becomes very High pitched( the one that hurts your ears, like a microphone can do sometimes). the sound is really horroble and painfull even. If I return the graveyard it stops, if I go back in the cave it begins again. so i decided to load but the sound is still there. tried exploring without any sound but isnt fun. I thougt maybe its only in this dungeon so i moved on en killed alle the corpses in the graveyard. when I entered the crypt. the same sound happened again. I havent tried any other places like the sewers yet but I am afraid it will happen there too.

any idea on how to fix this??? any help would be gratefull.

with regards

A couple of people have run into this problem, though at least in one case it was fixed just by rebooting the computer.

Try lowering (or disabling) hardware sound acceleration (click Start | Run, type in dxdiag and hit Enter, then switch to the sound tab).
