Hi

I posted here yesterday to say that I left Act III with both my little pyramids intact and in my inventory, only to find they had completely disappeared when i got cursor control after the cut scene at the start of Act IV

However, I can't find that post now ....

[And, all my old private messages are flashing as unread - and also your site has been giving the "page unavailable" message all day ]

Hope things are OK now ??

And that I might be able to get some help of course

Cheers.

A quote from an earlier post

Quote
At the beginning of Act 4, the teleporters stones disappear and we must play the end of the game without them.
Don't look after your stones you will not find them.
In act 2, there is a dialog saying that the teleporters will be taken back later.
So at the beginning of act 4, no teleporters anymore.

It is by design that the pyramids disappear, in act 3 there is an inventory trick that can retrieve them (before the latest patch there was a bug where they would disappear in act 3), there is no way to get them back in Act 4.

as for the posts disappearing, the forum server crashed.... but was restored to the latest backup, so some of the latest stuff was lost... Raze did however reply with something very similar in answer to your post...

Hi Lady_Rain

Thank you very much for explaining the situations - with the game and the server crash !!

Sad to hear my little pyramids are gone.
Just have to hope I'm good enough to make it to the end of the game without them

Cheers.

You can still go to the battlefield to trade... so the carrying issue wont be a problem...
Spoiler :

my hint of advice.... in act4 save frequently.... especially before you open any rifts.... <<----- highlight text to read it

Hi again Lady_Rain

I read the "highlighted" text thanks and I always do what you are suggesting - not being the world's best fighter !!

As for carrying stuff ....
It's IN the battlefields where I will most likely have problems.
I couldn't bring over the fantastic collection of potions I had ammassed by the end of Act III, so I was hoping to build up another useful collection in Act IV. And I could have done it by using my pyramid to keep getting back to the trader camp and stashing them for when needed

[Not had time to play the last couple of days but I hope to get back to the game very soon ]

Thanks as always for being generous with your time and help

Cheers.

There are a couple of crosslinked barrels in the game (a flaw, but we exploit it for our benefit)...
what you put into barrel #1 also appears in barrel #2... there are only a few, and it will take you some searching to find them.... but i carry the one with me, and leave the other in the traders town.... that way if i carry too much, i put it in the barrel, mark its location and leave it in whichever dungeon i am in.... then go back to town, and sell my stuff thats in the linked barrel thats already in the town....

Another method is to summon one of your dolls.... and load everything into their inventory.... (you cant put quest items into their inventories). then unsummon them... they still have all my stuff, but weighs nothing in my inventory.... when i get back to town , i summon them and retrieve all my stuff....
