Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Technical Problems A couple of problems.

Alright, I have a question that a freind of mine has asked me. He has :BD: and is having some problems.

First of all: The disk #1 takes a long time for his computer to load (like 5-10 minuits); note that his computer is perfectly capable to handle this game, being up to date in software. Is this an oddity? (probably is :rolleyes: )

Second of all: Actually, he will give you his problem:

That is fairly long to load the install CD. Is he shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before installing the game?
If CD #2 (the play CD) also takes a long time to be recognized, he should try it in a different optical drive, if possible.

Your friend activated the 4 levers on the northern wall to open the door, but there is another lever on the western wall to disable the trap. The note doesn't explicitly tell you what to do, but does give a hint that the doorway is trapped.

Well, thanks Raze. I bet he just didn't pay attention to the hints (he's ignorant like that in games <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> ).

As for the CD problem, he had everthing but his anti-virus closed, so that might have been it. It was only with the install CD. Then agian... at one point it said the CD was damaged. Maybe it's partially damaged, or maybe the PC`s protection blocked it out a bit.

Oh, and you're also right about the UBB code thing. I usually scroll down the screen with the wheel on my mouse; when you scroll with the wheel and your pointer is over one of those slide-down boxes, it tends to scroll through them instead. Well, I'll go check if everything is as you said.
