After I finished act 1 I had over 140,000 gold, with items (not my equipment) in my inventory worth another 80,000-90,000. I probably shouldn't have this much gold yet should I? I'm playing a survivor, so I pickpocket everyone while using lot's of +luck equipment to find rares. But still, should I really have that much gold already? Thats around 225,000g + all my equipment that is all pretty much dark orange or green.

I didn't use Pickpocket, but that amount doesn't seem unreasonable. At the end of act one I had a third of the gold you have, and around the same amount of extra equipment and loot. Throughout the act I bought any skills from trainers I thought I would need later, or might eventually try, so could have ended up with more gold.

If you don't buy expensive stuff like charms or (when available) holy water, you may need gold to unlearn skills later if you want to adjust your playing style (the cost to unlearn a skill is proportional to the square of your character's level, up to 50,000 gold).
You do eventually succeed in undoing the soulforging, so the after game BF is just the hero and summoning dolls. If you want to check it out, near the end of the main game you may want to have the DK unlearn all his skills, and invest those points into summoning doll upgrades.

BTW, you need to have your avatar online somewhere in order for others to be able to see it. If your IPS doesn't offer any webspace, check out services like Photobucket or the suggestions in the topic below.

free web host with hotlinking? (for avatars) - some information may be out of date, as web hosts can change their policies or practices

I actually baught all the skills I needed, I probably ended up buying roughly around 10+ skills from the trainers. Although unlike u I used pickpocket a few times on the trainers to steal their best items and most expensive charms. I also killed the merchant in the citadel which dropped a ton of items that I quickly sold for well over 25,000g. Since I came back to the trainers a lot and they never had enough money to buy all my stuff I'd trade it to them for expensive charms instead(Why my inventory is worth like 80,000g) worth 5,000 - 10,000 each that I'll hopefully sell in act 2.

BTW: Thx for the info Raze.

Ps: What do you need holy water for? I saw some and didn't buy it earlier.
