I'm hoping that someone has an answer to this little difficulty....
Often, in the battlefields, when I'm trying to unload unnecessary stuff, these items do not show in my inventory when I'm trying to dispose of these items. The items in question seem to be mainly "magic" type stuff.
I've tried to sell these things to every one of the BF merchants, and when I try to "trade", I cannot see the items in my inventory. Is this somethng that's done on purpose? (When I leave the trade facility and re-check my real inventory, These items are always there!)

Unique and set items will not show up in the inventory list to be sold in the act where they are found. If you bring them into the next act, they can be sold there. They get renamed on act change, though their stats stay the same, and then get treated like regular equipment.

Is it the same with non-Battlefield merchants? Because I never went to the Battlefields during the game. (And I don't seem to recall this particular situation.)
I am in blood Stepp'd in so far, that, should I wade no more, Returning were as tedious as go o'er.

Yes, it is the same will all traders, not just the BF merchants. If you loot everything, including set and unique equipment, and then try to sell of all excess stuff at once, you should find things left in your inventory that didn't get sold. If you sell off stuff a bit at a time, this would not be nearly as noticeable.

Thanks! I do sell things bit by bit, that's probably why I didn't notice.

OK, thanks. I didn't think I brought 2 sets of magic armor over the "act" boundary, but mayhap I did. I guess I'll just leave them on the ground, since I can't sell them......It's not like I need the money, anyway!

Actually, if you can not sell them because they are set or unique armour, then you must have found them in the current act. If you bring them into the next act, then you can sell them. I'd suggest leaving them in the BF; if you have room you can grab them at the end of the act to sell later, and if not, you're not loosing out on a great deal of gold by leaving them behind.
