His name is Duke, 7 weeks old, very very naughty and a partner to my current shar-pei.

They currently dont like each other (something to do with sharp puppy teeth), but soon they will be partners.

bad luck with my good luck of getting the puppy....

Puppy is in hospital... got bitten by my fox-terrorist... not badly hurt at all..... but it formed an abcess... so they are clearing that up tonight, and tomorrow they are stitching the eye-lids, so that he can see through all the skin... (eye tacking).. The eye tackins SHOULD be done one 3 days.... but the breeder hasnt done it, and neither did she give the pup dewormer or injections... so all of that will happen tonight and tomorrow...

and puppy will come back home tomorrow night... (with NEON yellow stitches on the eyes) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

How do shar pei's live with the heat in SA, in general? Does it affect them a lot?

Dukie is coming back tonight... and i hope he learnt his lesson too...

THey cope generally well in the heat, but we have to supply them with a shaded and damp area... so i have a tree next to a slowly dripping tap where they go sleep when it gets hot. The other thing we need to do, is to give them a bath with (wait for this) HEAD AND SHOULDERS dandruf shampoo..... it prevents the skin from forming boils between the wrincles when its hot <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Fox terrorist is not on bush's most wanted list... for 1 reason only.... he is too scared of her!!!!!
