Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Act 3 catacombs level 5 portal stone.

I've finished raan's quest, talked to Elder Anlokam, and now I want to go to level 6 to finish the other quests before I touch the Crystal fragment. However, the portal stone doesn't seem to want to work. I've clicked on it multiple times, and nada!

Are you referring to the portal stone 2 rooms north of the room with the crystal fragment, on the western side, which teleports you to the wisdom dungeon? Other than the wisdom rune (which teleports you back to the fifth level of the catacombs), the only things of interest there are a random charm, a trapped chest with random loot and the third book teaching the Raanaar language.

You may not be able to return there once you have found the wisdom rune. After clicking on the first few symbols on the wall, I cleared the rest of the area before going through again to find the rune.

Yes, I'm referring to the portal on the floor of that room (2 rooms NW of the crystal room). But.... I messed up trying to swap inventory files to regain my lost Crystal bag, so I'm back to where the portal seems to be active. I haven't completed any of Raan's quest at this point. I've just re-visited the level 5 catacomb,and I see what you're refering to. The portal stone enters into level 6 to get the Godly symbol.
What I'm concerned with is: the only exit from these catacombs here is to pick up the Crystal shard, but I haven't completed all of the other quests in Act 3,yet.
If I take the crystal, I won't have a chance to complete them. Is there any other way out of this problem? I know I can go to the BFs, but the return takes me back into the catacombs. Unfortunately, I have both my portal stones with me, so that avenue's out.

If you made a new save or backed up your existing save before trying the inventory file swap, it would be easy to revert to the pre-attempt version, and re-do the file swap a little more carefully.


You get sealed in the catacombs shortly after you enter; it was designed to lead straight to the end of the act. If you dropped one teleporter stone and hex teleport out of the catacombs, you may be able to finish off other quests before returning by teleporter stone and picking up the last crystal fragment.
