Dont know if anyone has played the first few titles in this game but I would rate #2 as the best RPG game I have ever played. The more recent version Grandia Xtreme...was...well it was terrible, but I hope that this one restores the series' lustre.

It releases in the US tomorrow.

Sorry guys but you really are missing out, this game has the BEST combat system, by a longshot I might add, in any RPG ever...ever!

I hate ps2 for not being pc <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" /> quite a lot nice rpgs at that platform... I will stay at my pc anyway <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I'm lucky I don't play RPG's for the combat then <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />.

ign has a good review as well. So far (about 3-4 hours in) I really enjoy it. They managed to improve on the battle system from #2 which is a feat in itself. So far the storyline is good, but I admit...a little strange. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

Looks very similar to the Final Fantasy series, is this game available in the UK??
When and how often can you save your progress??

Saves are about every half hour so far, though I am not that far into it. It is similar to FF games, but the combat is better. Not sure about availability in the UK...if you cant find it could probably hook you up with a copy from here, though its pretty much sold out atm.

Im almost done...coming up to the last boss fight...

I've played Grandia 2...battle system is the best thing about it, and you don't really care about anything else in the game afterwards much tbh...I hope Grandia 3 is better =) whenever I'll get it.....
