is there any way possible to edit the level of the skills learned. per say where i learn the lockpick skill early on in the game is there any way to edit one of the files so that I could max out my lockpick skill granting me access to "ANY" locked door, barrel, or other locked object?

If so is there any way perhaps that Raze or anyone else with the knowledge to do so could post a tutorial for me to do this or if need be i could post the required file for editing here to be edited and pick it up once it is edited.

I am avoiding the file editing part.... there are some chests and barrels that you cant open no matter what your lockpick level, they are quest related and will have a key / lever...

Ok thanks. Im not so much conscerned with the barrels as I am some of the doors I never got to open because i may or may not have missed something.

if you pm me your email addy, i will send you maps of where all the levers and keys are.... ( i see that the site is no longer hosted, so i will make a plan later tonight to re-host it on my servers and changing all the links...)

the same is for doors... some of them just WONT open no matter what skill level you are on...

(sorry for the very brief reply just now, was in such a rush...)

The reason why i am keeping clear of editing skill files, is that i ran into more hassles than not.... If you end up behind a door where you should not be able to get YET.... you can break the whole story-line and cause a load of bugs that normally wouldnt exist.

There is a way to cheat to get enough gold to learn Lockpick (ie from Keith in the BF or from the imp Tax) and the skill points to put into it, but I never tried to see if the maximum level could be edited.
Hex editing - gold, experience, stat/skill points

However, since doors are your main concern, Lockpick isn't nearly as important as finding the required key or lever. I can only think of a couple doors/chests that you need Lockpick to be able to open, and they only contain minor random loot. In addition to the maps Lady Rain mentioned (or these), you could also skim through the Beyond Divinity Strategy Guide if you have explored an area but a door or chest remains locked. There are a couple chests where finding the key is a little elaborate, or you need to reach another area first.

I had'nt thought of the possible bugs to be found when opening some doors to early perhaps i should not mess with the lockpick skill but I would very muchappreciate those maps
