Commander Kratus has 2 keys. A platinum one found in the bedroom opens to second door in the hallway. The other is on a table in the room next to the kitchen. I can't figure out what the sapphire key goes to.

Note: Not the key found in the desk when getting the dagger.

Hmmm, I'm not sure <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> Doesn't it open the door to the armoury in that same building?

The armory key is the one found in the desk when getting the dagger. Not that one.

I just went looking for it, but I can't find a use for the key in the building. I also checked Commander Ralph's place and some chests in Stormfist Castle, but nothing. I think we're looking for a needle in a haystack.

Speaking of keys that can't find a home. When i finished the game i had about 20 keys that still had to find something to unlock. This could be a good task for someone. To find out what all (and when I say all, I mean as many as possible) the keys do. Where to find them and where to use them at.

My father has a copy on his computer. When he unlocks doors/chests the key isn't removed from his inventory.

Exactly. So if I were to find a place that can be opened by the sapphire key found in Kratus's building, I still wouldn't know I found the right spot, because it's not the only sapphire key in my inventory. The same goes for lots of other types of keys.

Yes, when Penumbra tells you to retrieve her dagger a key appears in Kratus' desk.

Yes, when you have a decent lock-pick skill, sometimes you can forget about a key.
