Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General How do you unlock the 2nd Tomb in the Catacombs?

Hi everyone. This is the first time I've played this great game and I'm enjoying it very much. I hate to ask for help, but I just can't figure out what to do next. I've gone down in the catacombs below Rivellon to try and find a cure for the old Healer's madness and I've cleaned out level after level including the big 3rd level.

I've killed the skeletons and ghoul in the four corner tomes and that unlocked one of the two middle tombs. I went down there and cleaned out everything in sight. I did find a Silver key in a spider web.

When I went back to the 2nd middle tomb...I can't unlock it no matter what I do. I've tried my lockpick skill (and I do have lockpicks by the way), I've tried the Silver key and even a Saphire key that I found somewhere. No luck. I went back through the whole catacomb again thinking I must have missed something, but I can't find anything. What am I doing wrong?

I'm not sure I'm using the keys in my inventory correctly for one thing. How do you use them? Do you left click on them and then drag them over the object you want to try and unlock? Do you left click on them then left click on the object that's locked? I couldn't find in the manual how to use them. Thanks! I hope someone can help me out here. Once you get to the lowest level of the catacombs, there is a large room in the center. Talk to the skeleton in there and he will tell you what you need to do.

Keys are used automatically when you click on the corresponding locked chest or door.

For the two tombs, you can only unlock one of them, but they both lead to the same place so it doesn't matter which one is opened and which one remains locked.

After entering one of the tombs and getting to the forth level, there are stairs in the south west corner to the fifth level. You can get the second teleporter pyramid on the forth level, if you didn't already use the first to get to it.

Thanks guys! I totally forgot that stairwell in the southwest corner of the 4th level after entering one of the unlocked middle tombs on the 3rd level. I think I'd just happened to go there first and then explored the rest of the level. By the time I'd gone topside to rest up, hunted outside the town some then went back down I'd forgot about it. I wound up going back through the rest of the dungeon thinking that I'd missed something to unlock the 2nd tomb on the 3rd level. I feel like such an idiot! Thanks so much for your quick responce. The game is complex and yet exciting...dont be surprised if you cant figure out everything...
