I, personally, am a HUGE fan of the Narnia series by C.S. Lewis. I have been ever since my 4th grade teacher read us The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.

Just wondering if anyone else has read these books and if so, which one is your favourite one.

Read them all back in grade school and read them again before the movie came out a while back. The books tell a great story but Lewis' style is strange, its almost as if he published his notes...the movie was fantastic and did justice to those who think you can make a movie closely following a book.

Yeah, I was pretty happy with how close the movie followed the book. If there was one change I could make, it would have been the voice of Aslan. If I'm going to cast someone to be the voice of a powerful lion I would go with someone who sounds like they've hit puberty already.

Read them all. Voyage Of The Dawn Treader is my favourite <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Mmm...Good ol' Narnia. One of the greatest books ever written.

Loved by many, known by all.

It's a great series of books, very easy to read. Nicely adapted to the Silver Screen.

I haven't read the books yet... I want too, and I have them all in strong-soft cover (a set), but I have many other books to read as well.

I loved the movie also, and I can't wait to get to it in the actual book where it can be seen in its full magnitude.

And for all the SNL fans:
"The Chronic-"
" What! "
"-cles Of Narnia!"

Who remembers that one, huh? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Another difference between the books and the movie was the comical bantering between the beaver family. It was a nice addition to the movie.

Mrs. Beaver: You children are fussing more than Beaver on bath day.
Mr. Beaver (while shuddering): It's the worst day of the year.

Mrs. Beaver: You've been sneaking fish, haven't you?
Mr. Beaver: You never know what meal'll be your last! (Especially with your cooking)

The Beaver's were just plain awesome.

I'm actually reading this book to my 2nd graders. They're enjoying it as much as I am.
