Most of the answers for BD are the same as DD, in your
other topic.
BD is divided into 4 separate acts, which means it isn't as open as DD. The first act is relatively linear, but after that it opens up within acts, and you have a fair bit of freedom in where you explore and what order to do things.
You can not buy a house in BD, but since you can not return to previous acts, it would not make sense to anyway. There are no guilds, but there are opposing factions in a certain area (you can help both sides).
Characters in BD do not react much to your appearance (which is more configurable than in DD, both with equipment and the character itself), except for a couple of areas.
NPCs in BD no longer react when you steal stuff in front of them. That was removed in order to improve enemy AI.
Gameplay is on the order of 50 hours, or so (not sure since I was interrupted by hardware and other problems when playing).
