I was wondering how many people use the reverse mouse function when they play a FPS or when flying a plane in Battlefield 1942 etc. I myself play with the mouse reversed, but I don't know anybody else who does. And yet, luckily, it's always an option in games. Thought I'd ask, hence this simple poll.

I play on reversed... its more logical for me somehow... and it drives me insane, especially if horizontal reverse is on, but vertical is off, or vice versa.

and it drives me insane, especially if horizontal reverse is on, but vertical is off, or vice versa. I don't understand. If the vertical axis is reversed then left is right and right is left no?

in some games, you can let it make that, left is right, and right is left, but up ist still up, and down is still down or that left is still left, right is still right, but up is down, and down is up.
if I have to deal which one of these, immediatly brain explosion.

The first FPS games were all flight sims, so my hand is trained to use reverse. Person FPS's didn't have vertical tilting until the mid-90's.

It's silly the way I learned to play reverse. I was actually playing Duke Nukem 3d and even though like in Doom the mouse wasn't needed, you still could use it if you wanted to. I tried it and immediately it didn't feel right. Move forward is up? Just didn't seem logical. Ever since then: reverse mouse <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

My son uses reverse mouse. I don't. WHen we played the same game we always had to remember to switch it.

The First "FPS" that I played with the mouse was Descent. I played it for weeks. After that I could never get back to Non-Reversed Y-Axis.
Luckily most of the games allow me to switch it. There are only few crappy titles like Neuro Hunter where the developers are too dumb to implement it.
