I have been playing <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> for a month or two and finnaly disided to come here...ok my Questions is: do i need to donload ever patch ive missed or just the newest?...

and can i get links to the ones i need?

You only need the newest patch, assuming you have the original release. Some re-release versions of the game may already be updated to the latest 1.0034A version, as shown in the bottom right corner of the main menu, so would not need to be patched.

ok...another Question...i have an editor right...do that cause gliches in the game?....cause whenever i try to go to dark forest or Verd i get booted north of the church where vinny was...then it wont let me do anything and there is a snake that sits there and kill me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohh.gif" alt="" />

Neither item editor or the save editor should cause any glitches in the game, at least that I know of.

A few people have run into a problem crashing when entering Verdistis or (less often) the Dark Forest. I have not heard of getting teleported somewhere else, though (or was that sentence two different problems?).

Do you have any older saves that work?

Try deleting all of the files in the '..\Divine Divinity\Run\Dynamic' folder.
This folder is used as a cache for the game. Files are created / copied there from the save game folder when you load, and written / copied from that folder when you save a game. The files will be re-created as required the next time you start Divinity. If there was a corrupt file in that folder, deleting the files should fix the problem.

Do you have any problems with other DirectX games?

Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before starting the game?

Have you checked for updated drivers, etc?

In addition to the DD centric troubleshooting tips topic, there are a couple topics for Beyond Divinity that get into checking system problems (virus, spyware, etc).

Of course if you reinstall the game and stop getting random crashes, that would imply the patch is part/all of the problem.

well i tried reinstalling it before i got the patchbut ill kill the antiviris and see if that works...
