Yea....

So After using hammer for awhile, I realized it sucks. It really, really sucks. You can do 50 damage with a recup of 18 after two skill points with a two handed hammer, or you can do 50 damage with a recup of 6 after two skill points with a one handed mace. Making a "hammer" char has been a major waste of time. So I restarted.

You can deal 3 times the damage with basically any other weapon category.

Now on to character 2. After ~13 hours of play and about 6 skill points spent in the "lightning/fire/poison" damage categories, I realize that only *one* of those skills is being implemented, which is the fire damage. My enemies are not shocked or poisoned. My stun works fine, though. Blech.

If you have a 10 percent chance in 4 passive attack skills each, that should be a 40 percent chance of something happening. Instead, I get a 20 percent of either stun or fire. Blahhhh.

So I'm making yet another character. If I find another fatal flaw with my skill point distribution, I'm going to scream and break my game CD. (Don't worry, I've read about crossbow).

Late.

I restarted a lot to, until i found a nice combination. I started as a warrior, and learned skills like lockpick, identify, repair and after 3-4 levels i started saving my skillpoints. When i got to level 6 i directly learned Deadly Gift, wich was pretty usefull at the 'boss-level' of the dungeon (Nemesis right?) and also learned wisdom, it makes you get levels a tiny bit faster.

But at the end, i had like 5-10 skillpoints wich i did not know where to place.

You can use iZakaroN's SaveEditor (or from Kiya's site, with description) to redistribute your skill points. As Isorun described, though, warriors tend to have skill points to spare, so you don't really have to worry about keeping multiple weapon expertise, etc.

Arg. Raze you're a lifesaver thanks. I wish I would have known this before deleting my character...lol.

Hammers really do suck in this game, while maces rock (Problem is that there aren't really any maces after you get out of the catacombs...).
