I found these four chests in the celler of the merchants guide that are all linked to each other (if you put an item in one of them it'll appear in the others, if you take one out it'll dissapper from the others)

They're quite interesting :P also, everything in the libery bit in the merc guide is linked to anything indentical to it (two large bookcases are linked etc), anyone know why these are like that?

Also I was wondering if the chests could be used to an advantage... whats a good place to put them? i suppose if you were moving bases (aleroth start place to the farmlands barn etc) i suppose you could put one at each base, put all your stuff in one chest then go to the other one and take it out (only worth it if your like me and have about 50 chests to keep stuff in)

I havn't tried to dupe using them yet... i guess it would be done by opening one, putting something in closing it... opening it AND another chest again at the same time... taking both the items out of both chests...

AND FINALY... can anyone confirm this isnt just my computer being its usual self?

P.S i hope no one minds paragraphing like i do :P

There are several other sets of linked containers in the game, as well. You could use them to keep loot handy at your base as well as near your favourite merchants, though I never bothered with that.

connected containers?

Ah, my bad :P i only searched "linked chests" i didnt really think of using any of the other words that mean linked (connected,joined etc blah blah)

Thanks for clearing that up though :P

Screw the topic now... are there any containers in game that weigh nothing? (the movable bed is way to big and i like to leave it in a small chest... but the smallist i could find (size (graphicly)) was 200 weight XD

The trans-dimensional-super-bed (TDSB) is so great when you lose the teleporter stones btw *-) i just felt like mentioning that

There are no zero weight containers, but if you join the thieves' guild in Verdistis you can find one there which only weighs 5 units. Until then, there are sacks of grain you can use as containers, which weigh 100 and are also small graphically.

There is a potential problem dropping things directly into a container in your inventory (particularly if you are doing a lot of looting that way);

I still have all the grain sacks (in the openable haystack in the barn you get to use) from when i was clearing up (i mean.. REALLY CLEANING UP... everything got thrown out...or put in that stupid haystack you cant get rid of... it actualy looks quite cosy now )

i closed a chest once and it dissapeard witch vexxed me as to why... there wasnt anything in it but... it (as a chest) was quite pretty XD and the weight update bug sure as hell does come in usefull sometimes :P

super silly update!: i found the 5 weight container... and the last holy item i need

The 5 weight container is a book in Rob's room in the Verdistis thieves' guild, in the cellar of the Ducal inn. To start with it contains a quest item, but the book is desirable just for itself. It doesn't have a special name, but it is the only book in the game that is a container.
