You would have to reinstall to get rid of the patch. The games should remain in place (when uninstalling you will be asked if you want to keep them or not), but to be safe it would be best to copy or zip them to another location first. Unfortunately, though, games saved under the latest 1.34 version of DD can not be opened in the unpatched version, so you would have to start over or revert to a save made before the patch was installed.

If you just want to use the charm pane exploit (which was fixed in the patch), there are better and safer ways to do the same thing in the patched game. see charming a weapon or equipment

If I say yes, will everyone start sending me a tithe? As a minor web-deity of modest ambition, I'd consider accepting less than the usual 10%.

as another question :P because questions are the founation of knowledge... once you because the divine homie (...) can you telehex (hex edit ) yourself out?... or i suppose i could do that thing that activates the path of the divine...

can someone kick me in the direction of the hex editing guide? :P

Talk is cheap, I said tithe.

It is possible to hex teleport back from the wastelands. However, since the quest log gets reset when you enter, I don't know if it would be possible to continue any quests.

An offset is basically a measure of distance. The instructions in the topic Some more hex offsets... are to start at a specific point in the data file, then jump forward a certain number of bytes, but the hex notation makes it seem more complicated if you are not familiar with it (or the hex editor you are using has a different notation).

To enable the path of the divine in Hackman, you would first open the data.000 file (after backing it up, of course) and search for the text string 'SkillsV'. Then, in the Edit menu click on Goto. In the dialog that opens, click on 'from this position' and leave the mode as Hex; type in 24 and hit the Goto button. Change the 00 to 01 and save, and the path of the divine should be available the next time you load the game.

If you try it again and can not get it to work, you can email me the zipped data.000 file from your latest save (address is in my profile).
