I'm waiting for Neverwinter Nights 2. I MIGHT get it for Christmass though <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />. So, what's it like? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I play G3, but i dont have Oblivion, so i cant compare these two Games.

But i can say something about G3, unfortunately there are some little Bugs (the greater Bugs were patched at the relaseday)

There are Balancingproblems, so the wild boars are very fast in the attacks, so your Hero mostly dont have a chance to start an attack. If you make a mistake in the Fight against a wild boar you surely will repent it.

But the Graphic is wonderfull, the gameplay ist good. The hunting with the Bow is nice. And the make an other method to lockpick, no left and right click to open the chests.
You cant climb and dive like in the first two parts, but you can still swim.
New is the constitutionbar, and the rezipes for cooking and brewing.
The new Fightsystem is good like in the first two Parts. After you have fighted against four or five Orcs at one time you will not miss it.

In the Game you are completly free to make your own decisions, there are no red line to follow or Chapters with a different Mainquest.

I like it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I am eagerly awaiting Gothic 3 and would appreciate any more reports about it.

I think you should ask around in the German-language section, there in the RPG chat and in the Gothic 3 thread there.
The far majority of us is capable of writing English. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

The Gothic 3 Demo (german) is out.
And here the english Version
The download is 1 GB great and you can play the Area with Ardea, Reddock and Kap Dune.

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/exclamation.gif" alt="" /> You need the newest Direkt X Version from 10/10/2006 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/exclamation.gif" alt="" />

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/exclamation.gif" alt="" />And you need Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/exclamation.gif" alt="" />

Ain't played Gothic III -- from what I heard from players and read from reviews, it's a buggy mess. I'll wait for more patches w/ bug-fixes and performance fixes.

Personally, I loved Oblivion....best RPG in years....

hmm still playing it, it is a nice game (storywise) but gets a little repetitive so I only play when I am really bored <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

In regards to Oblivion ... Oblivion is a much much nicer Graphic game with a reasonable story.

G3 reminds me of an Oblivion-ated Diablo2, although the graphics in G3 are good they are no match for TES3 heck I haven't seen an CPRPG that nice yet or since <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Helloo, I've just started playing G3, and I was wondering: is there a mod or something that gives a better mapping/quest-organizing for this game? Its really fun, but the lack of organization in those two things are a bit annoying. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/suspicion.gif" alt="" />

And when I look in certain directions (too closely at things like walls and the ground) then its gets all flashing-white and stuff. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" />

Any help with either of these would be awsome. Even with those things, its still super fun! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

imo the graphics of gothic are nicer then those of oblivion. Gothic3 just has a more Raw look or something, and some details Oblivion really lacks.

But how should i really know, i have a 3 year old mediocre system <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

I'll eventually get Gothic 3.
When, who knows...

Plus, I'm wondering when they'll put out the next patch for it. It's in development and likely will be around or over ONE GIGABYTE in size.
