I got an idea a few minutes ago and thought oh hell why not post it here <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> .
I was thinking of this. Perhaps we can design basics for original weapons or whatever end send em to larian or post em here. And perhaps, if Larian like some, we see them in-game (edited or not). Ofcourse we would first need to know if Larian wants to do nething with this idea.
Dunno, just flased though my mind some minutes ago.
So, what do you think <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Foetsy is right. Anything you create is your intellectual copyright, and would have to be explicitly waived if Larian were to use it. While it's a nice idea, one slip could leave them vulnerable to lawsuits, and I don't think any of us would want that.
It's a nice idea though, I must admit <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

BIg, great companies would very, very quick find lawers to pursue after THEIR intellectual property.
But in contrast, I'm sure, they would do absolutely nothing to protect YOUR intellectual properties. Both lawers (unless they might gain from that process) and companies.
Even worse, I believe, that big, great companies would do ANYTHING to actuall HINDER you getting your rights back from them. And since they have too much money, they can afford the best (and therefore most expensive) lawers and all of the tricks to acttually slow down your own fight for your rights until your own money runs out and you must give up. And voilá - they've won !
I hate this system.

This can be done by licencing all those works for free, there are many recources out there that are royalty-free. If someone explicitly states his work can be used by others or Larian, Larian can use it.
All you basicly need to do is group all works and artists under a royalty-free "label", all artists are volunteers and are credited.
I don't think copyright can be a problem if you intent for larian to use (written statement).
It's one of these days...

I hate this system. my nocando for that system... neway, what Draghermosran said. IF we get enough fans workin in such a group and we will actually help Larian. (and if its not too much trouble) we could do that i think? I dunno very much about the law system and stuff so i dont really know what im talking about (doing opposite direction on school)

The one thing I have always dreamed of having with Divine Divinity is a construction program that lets you make game content with ease. Among this, a program that lets you make and place unique, user-created items into the world.

Then users can create their own mods like quests, special npcs, interesting events, etc.?
