Is the color depth of your desktop set to 16 bits?
If not, do this, it might solve your problem.

You can find more maps in the thread "Complete Maps" listed in the Help/Tips/Tricks forum section.

Colour depth is already 16 bit .

Have you tried to use an other Grafik-Mode? IE Software or DirectDraw.
