I really liked DD and was totaly bored by BD because of its cloned enemies which all look the same and which didn't have any individuality. I didn't like the quests which were to simple structured. The whole game was to much hack&slay, the quests could only get solved by killing something or somebody. There were no alternatives to solve quests. And the whole game was extremly linear. The dialogs were terribly superficial and disappointing. There were no special quests for special classes. The storyline was dowdy and to much stereotype. The NPC's had no daily routines and no deeper characterization.

Well, all that are points of which I hope they don't return in your next RPG. The most players are waiting for an epic, original and deep storyline, with a non-linear plot and a huge number of subquests which can be solved in different ways and multifaceted characters and in-depth dialogs.

Please Larian don't go the stereotyped way!!

The story was stereo typed???

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I've never heard of that story before 0.o I thought the story was better in BD, but the gameplay was better in DD.

I really liked both Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity.
DD was easier to pick up and start playing while BD was something u had to get into.
The story of BD was actually better then DD.
The only thing that bothered me a little about BD was the grim athmosphere throughout the whole game. I see games as an escape from real life and I don't want to end up in a dark, evil world. I wanna see beautiful trees, flowers, mountains, lakes, etc...

Hurry was right.. the atmosphere in was to grim, to much dark rooms to much dungeons i love nature more than dungeons but without dungeons cant be.. so it will be bether that the next rpg will be a mixed game with nature and dungeons it will be great if the game will put you to chose between dark and light, bad or good, angel or devil, living or undead
