I have the game.
But all I can do is load it. As soon as the game is supposed to start it crashes to the desktop.
I checked out the mistmare forum and they think it has to do with mp3. codecs.
They advice you to remove those codecs and then try again.
Would be first time I have to remove something from my puter to play a game. One of the posters there has put a link up to a site where you can download software to remove them. At your own risk!
I dunno if mistmare is worth all that trouble as I haven't been able to get it started yet.
Maybe when I'm really bored some day, I'll look and remove the codecs. But I don't think it's worth it at the moment.
The forum comes nowhere near this one btw. The answers of mistmare testers and developpers have a variation from uninterested to just plain rude. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Besides, they allready knew that from the demo versions. I wonder why they didn't do anything about it before the game was released.

They are talking about Mistmare.

I thought Mistmare sounded really interesting when I first heard of it, but then found I could not even run the demo... By the time I'd upgraded to a system that could run the demo, I couldn't figure out what to do with it and just gave up! Haven't heard much about it since, except that it's notoriously buggy. Pity!

don't bother yourself with that game. you'll be setting yourself up for a lot of disappointments. a friend played it and almost threw the game. it's littered with bugs (scripting, etc.), the game will almost always crawl to a halt, if not crash altogether, the publisher has gone out of business.
