Well, I take a lot of screenshot of Oblivion for a friend of mine, who would like to have the game, but his computer can't handle it so he asks me to make some nice pictures about beatifull places, extraordaniry locations etc.
The problem is: with the e-mail program that i'm using right now(hotmail) i'm only able to send 10Mb of extra files with one mail. Oblivion creates the screenshots as bitmaps(I'm not sure if it is the same in English) and those files are rather large (+3Mb), so i convert them into JPG's who are less then 0.5Mb each, but the problem is that i got around hundred of them each week, and saving them one by one is getting kind of frustrating, so I wonder is there a program which i can use to convert them all with one click(I don't care if it is time consuming, I just can't click 'save as...' one more time! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" />) or as another alternative: an emailprogram which is able to send files larger then 10Mb?

Also: i'm using the program FRAPS to record some short movies for the same friend, but the files are larger then 50Mb, even on lowest quality. If I lower the settings of Oblivion, will this also result in a smaller file? or is there a program i can use to change the file-extension to get a smaller file whitout a big quality-drop?

Thanks in advance

Isorun

[color:"orange"]bitmaps(I'm not sure if it is the same in English)[/color]

It is.

Many image viewers with basic editing features (such as IrfanView or XnView) can do batch conversions, and there are specialized programs as well (see NConvert on the XnView site, for example).

I have not used Fraps, but it is popular enough there should be a few tutorials or guides online about minimizing file size. Lowering the game resolution would be the easiest way to drop the video file size, and you can also lower the fps to capture in Fraps (though too low and the video will not be as smooth).

Fraps saves as (mostly) uncompressed video in order to minimize the impact it has on the game (see its FAQ), but you can use a video editor (such as VirtualDub or ZS4) to trim unnecessary bits and convert to a more efficient format.

I installed IrfanView and 'batched' all the files imediatly, saved me alot of clicks and time (only took a few seconds). I'll try to zip the video's now and see how small i can make them, and otherwise i guess i'll just burn a CD or give him a memory-stick.

Thanks

I used 7zip to bunddle the screenshot, but using it to shrink the size of the video isn't very effective. 50Mb->39Mb Still to Large.

Running the video through VirtualDub should be much more effective at reducing the file size, given an appropriate choice of codec.

I can't believe it, the file size shrunk to 1.43Mb, and you can see almost no difference. Great program! Thanks Raze.
