Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks how to use skills?

that was in the wrong forum before...

really basic question I know ... the only way I have found to use skills is to assign them to right/left click ... but that means you can only use 2 or have to keep reassigning.

Also is there anywhere to download the beyond divinity manual from? I bought my copy off Ebay and although it's got the CD artwork in a paper case .... no manual <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" /> (no copy of Divine Divinity either <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />) I just have a weird compulsive thing about reading manuals of any game I play ..

You can assign hotkeys to skills to quickly switch which one is selected (though not to use them).
Also, once more powerful magic spells (such as shaman magic) become available (starting in act 2), you should not need to switch spells as often.


Did you check the game CDs for a pdf manual? AFAIK there is no download (except for the changes to the skill system and additions to the stats, the gameplay is pretty similar to Divine Divinity).

There is a Beyond Divinity Strategy Guide. The appendixes go into skills, stats, equipment, etc.

There was a version of BD released in some regions/stores that contained a copy of DD (with a sticker on the box indicating such), but I doubt there are any still around.
