Heyas all! I just started DD2 and have a few questions ...
1) My characters is a level 8 warrior and Ive just been fighting orcs around Aleroth. Ive been conservative with my skill points and still have 2 left to spend at this time. The thing is that I have achieved level 2 in my sword specialist and augumented damage specialist without ever putting a second skill point into either of these two skills... Is this normal?
2) I have found the magic mirror and the note with details on how to duplicate a magical gem. I also have the healing stone from the lizardmans fountain, but every pool of water I try and put the mirror into..it never seems to dissapear....? Am I doing something wrong or is there a specific pool of water I must use ?
3) I have 2 skill points into lockpicking but i still can't seem to pick any locks around Aleroth that you wouldn't normally be able to find a key too. Am i wasting my time working on lockpicking for my warrior ? I have picks in my inventory so that isnt the problem.....
Thanks for the advice in adbance...Having a fun time with this game so far.
1.: It's a bug mainly reserved for male warriors. 2.: Take the pool east of the trader's house (George). This one is deep enough to make the mirror vanish into the water. 3.: Personal taste. I'm a warrior now, too and want to go for lockpick 5. There are not many chests/doors etc that open without a key in Aleroth. This changes in the other areas. Kiya
and welcome to the Forum <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />
About the skill points: if you are a male worrior then it is normal that the sword and augment damage skill have lvl2 without a point spent.
For the healing gem: use the pool to the lowerright of the map. East of Georges house IIRC.
For lockpicking: This is possible. The lvl could be too low. But the ones you n eed now have a key or are low lockpicking. I think you are referring to the chest in Mordaneus house? I think it need lvl3 lockpicking. Just return later on that one. Remeber that you can "get" some skillpoints of this through quests
Joliekiller, paladin on a crusade against (almost) all evil.
Thanks for the information! My brother said he also has the same bug but with his female warrior, he got an extra point in augment damage and swords as well....
Yah first time here and all heh.. I guess i added the DD(2) cause Im so used to posting on BG2 forums heh.
Hm, which version is your brother playing? I tried this with 1.33 and only the male warrior had 2 pts in the beginning - the female one didn't. Did he get them later on in the game? Kiya
When he played the female warrior and got the bug it was before i installed the new patch, and he did add a level for augument damage and swords near the beginning of the game.
