Hey, I just read someone elses posting about the Thieves Guild - on how to find Penumbra... I'm still coming up against nothing but a locked door that can't be picked... I am a member of the Thieves Guild already, so what am I doing wrong?!?!

Me again... just read someone elses posting saying that once you join the guild, you get a key that should open that door... How can I have joined the guild and not have received that key? Is there anyway I could have missed something???

Getting a little frustrated here...

have you gotten the quest from Corinia(sp) the summoner? If you have then go into the theives guild and go into the very last room. talk to the guard there, talk to him about all the dialog options. then go back into the hallway from where you came. he will then leave. go back into the room and use the alt key to serch for a key. use the key to unlock the door stright up from the middle of the room. go in and talk to Petunia(sp). You got the experience, reputation drop and Rob taught you a level of Lockpick, Pickpocket or Evade Trap? Once you join the guild, the door should be unlocked (no need for a key). Did you start the game before installing the 1.33 patch, then save after doing so? The door may remain locked do to a (now fixed) bug described in Map has gone back to black and Solution for patch and disappearing maps.

You can still get into the thieves' guild by;

FIX for the Missing Catacombs Portal
or
Teleporting Anywhere, via hex editor

I think my problem was more a technical problem... I've also found a few other bugs and my maps have also been dissapearing...

I've downloaded the latest patch and I've started again - I hate not being able to solve quests...
