Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems problem loading next scene

Hi, I've just bought divine divinity (a replay version) and I have a problem at the very beginning. After the first 2 rooms there is a ladder to go up. I click on the ladder and the music changes, my character disappears but the scenery remains the same (ie I can still only see those 2 rooms). I can click on any menus, inventory, etc no problem but can't control my character as it has disappeared. Help!

Disable your Caps Lock key. Caps Lock, or holding down the Shift key, allows you to move the screen focus away from the character (ie to see or toss stuff further), but as you found can result in the focus not following when using ladders, stairs, etc.
