my reputation was average, i guess, and then i tried to walk in the back room of the potion guy in rivertown. he said, "thats it, im calling the guards". my rep went way down and now all the guards want to kill me. i gave the shopkeeper some gifts and his attitude towards me is very high now but the guards keep attacking me. i just kill em all, but is that going to be bad in the end? are they ever going to stop even if my rep goes back up? i mean, arent i suppose to be the good guy?

I have no idea, but i do know whatcha mean, i went back there plenty of times made the guy 100% made at me, he refused to trade with me. so i killed him

Well, your intention might be good - but I'd reload and take my way of stealing. This method is safe.

ya know i always forget to through my pyramid in the other room so i wont get caught. i'll try that out sometime

i dont remember them even trying to arrest me. when i saw them walking up i ran away. then they just started poking me with there spears. i think im just gonna have to kill everyone. i just hope il still be able to beat the game.

you dont have to worry about them really, just kill em gain teh exp take thier stuff, yer rep goes down a tad bit but you'll still be able to complete mostly everything, the only thing you may not be able to complete is the tingalf quest about the stolen goods and all, if you've already done so then disregard what i just said.

Gridlock, which version are you playing? Are the guards in Verdistis hostile, too? And what about the merchants? Do they still sell stuff to you (besides Walker)?

I'd agree with flamin' monkey on this. If you go on a killing spree with the guards once you'll be ok. I don't remember many of my games where I didn't annoy them at some point. The merchants were always pretty cool with me afterwards.
You do it a few times your rep. will plummet faster than a lead balloon though....

ummm...version 1.34? the english version? im not sure what your asking me Kiya. i have the latest patch if thats what you mean.

yea, the guards in the verdists and everywere else there is guards, barracks captain mitoxs camp. they all hate.

i didnt finish the tingalf quest yet. i guess i cant go to Ralph (the commandor or whatever he is) until my rep goes back up huh. i beleive its -15.

it's just... I detected in version 1.034 (the last one) that I could kill Maria for instance and the guards were not all hostile. NSC's, yes they were red, but not the guards in Verdistis e.g., only those that came for her rescue. The other ones in the poor quarters just looked on <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> and didn't even interfere.

Not all quests give you an increase in rep...

My game: clean install, CD-ROM - patch version 1.033/1.034. I don't know how this will be if I had played in earlier versions and updated later on.

I've had one or two 'mishaps' Kiya. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> They usaully happen when I'm fighting in the town areas i.e. Mittox's camp. I'll click on a soldier by mistake and 'cos I'm so impatient click the fight response by mistake! Whoops.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />

so Im walking around, minding my business, just killing guards as they attack me. you know, just another day in Rivellon. when all of a sudden, the guards aren't AS hostile towards me and they quit attacking me. i guess time went by, they thought about, and relized that I'm the badest mutha f**ka to ever step foot in in these parts. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />
