Ok this might sound like a really stupied question, but how do I make the lever in the catacombs in Aleroth work (level 1 just behind the book - to open the first locked door) For some reason, no matter what I do (click, double click, left click, right click ...), there is no reaction, my character just walks away. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I really hope one of you can help ... do I need something to work with it, and then what?

You should just have to left click on the lever. Where does your character walk to when you click? The lever you are aiming for is in the second room, on the northern wall, to the left of the entranceway from the first room, correct?

I am right clicking but my character just goes into the entrence room ... The lever is supposed to open the door to the east of the book and the candles - right? I went back and retried after writing the abovestanding post and tried in different ways and eventually I got through the door, but it is like I cannot control that function - using the lever. My character simply most times just goes back into the entrence room, instead of just staying, while I click on the lever ... Even if I right click. When you hover the cursor over the lever, were you getting the 'lever' description popping up, with the lever itself being highlighted? Left clicking on the lever once should unlock the door east of the book and candles (left clicking again should re-lock it).
If your mouse cursor wasn't a little bit off when you were clicking (or maybe accidental double clicking?), perhaps there was a problem with that lever, where the game was registering the click behind the lever.

I think it must have been sometihing like that, and the fact getting started on a new game, you have to get used to how things work ..
And for a while you just run into stuff like that. Point is I finally made them work.
