Now I know there are 2 quests to expose Tingalf, the black market seller in the Rivertown market. He is the guy who tells you that you can buy things from him that you can't buy anywhere else, like lockpicks, which I think is an understatement, seeing as though he doesn't seem to sell anything that other traders sell.
The problem I have is when you go and speak to Trevor at the merchants guild and he asks you to expose Tingalf as he doesn't work for the merchants guild and apparently, you can't sell stuff as a trader unless you are a member. Trevor asks you to locate him and find out if he is selling illegal stuff.
The other problem I have is the fact that Marcus, who is also at the Rivertown market, he asks you to locate a supply wagon, which you find then have to go back to the market and get a wheel for the supply wagon and when you return, the supply wagon os destroyed and everyones dead. Marcus asks you to locate info on the goods location and you have to speak to Tingalf to get the info for the Black Market under the Rivertown Market in the sewers.
As you can see that there are 2 quests that have the same person "Tingalf" as the figure head. The problem is, when I completed the Marcus / Black market quest, Tingalf disappeared, I think he was arrested. With that, I can't finish the other quest for Trevor at the Merchants Guild.
As you can see, this is a catch 22, meaning unless there is some way I have no knowledge of, you can't do both quests. I am currently around 40% - 50% of the game and I have already traded with Tingalf several times. I think that has put a glitch in the quest solving for Trevor's quest to expose him as an illegal trader. Trevor asked me for some evidence, but I can't find any.
It is possible that there is a note or item I am missing that completes this quest without the need of Tingalf being around. I may look around at the location of the black market in the sewers and see if I can find anything, but if anyone has any info on this quest, I would like to know asap. Thank you and Take Care.
