Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Access to Stormfist Castle Treasure Room Quests

I have been folowing one the walkthrough guides for this grat game and I am at a part where I am to access the Stormfist Castles Treasure Room. The guide ins't that specific on how to access the room. Due to that, I decided to access it through the sewers as it seemed logical seeing as though you can't lock pick the door from the inside of the castle and I can't find a key or even leave the castle as yet.

The guide tells about accessing the room and then you end up trapped. You meet up with the wizard and a cutscene of a marked one being killed. It aslo speaks of killing a deathknight.

The problem I have is the fact that the guide explains that when you enter the treasure room, you are to go east through some doors until you get to the cut scene.

My problem is, I found an entrance to a small part of the treasure room and I have searched all around the small area and I can't find no leaver or activation switch or any key to open the locked door blocking my way. Also I can't use any of my skills like lock pick which makes me angry.

According to the trevor / tingalf quest written by Kiya1.de, she has a section of her quest guide for Tingalf that has a full picture of the sewers and every door or stairway that leads anywhere (all exits). I looked at that map and I was in the right section for the Zandalor's Rescue which is the treasure room area.

But as I said, when I go into that area, I can't get past the door. There is another way which I am going to try. I have just joined the thieves guild and I haven't got any quest info in my quest book about Zandalor's Rescue as the only time I heard about his whereabouts was when I was in the castle and they wont let me leave. As I was saying that I just joined the Thieves Guild, so I might try and see if I can open the topic that rob gives me, where he should give me some key for asking him for help that acesses stormfield castle sewers, but I don't know if that will open up (the topic I mean).

I know there must be something I am minssing, or a lot. But if anyone knows what I am doing wrong or right but in wrong orders, then please I beg you to let me know asap. I know this is a long question, but I do need the help. Thank you for your time and Take Care.

Did you reload an earlier save, or find some other way to get out of the castle? If you talk to Janus and do a few quests for him, you will be able to leave the castle (loot the place before finishing the quests). After that you end up in Iona's dungeon, and upon exiting you are given the quest to rescue Zandalor. Until you have the quest, the door in the sewer treasure room entrance will remain locked.

By joining the thieves' guild you can get access to the poor quarter sewer entrance (in Lain's house) and the treasure room entrance will be flagged, but that is it.
