Well i bought the cd version of the game, and some days ago i wated to play it again. when i started the game i heard a impressive and horrible sound insade my computer... i tho the worst has happened, my hard drive was completetly destroyed!!!but... it wasnt, the fact is that my gameplay cd of divine divinity was broken. I was very mad but i installed the no-cd crack and continue playing as always.

Now in the blessing ceremony ritual after all the stuff the game doesnt go on. And i dont know what to do!!! my cd is broken and i installed the no cd patch. i heard that some stuff can fix the intro video but not the blessing one

any way of solving this?

If you do not want to replace the CD (DD is still available from eBay or online stores, at least), you could convince one of your friends what a good game it is, get them to buy it, and then borrow the play CD. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

You could check if there are any computer or game clubs in your area, where you may be able to find someone else with the game.

There is a configuration file edit to skip the intro videos (see here), which with the latest game version also eliminates the need for the Play CD (most of the time). However, you are correct that this has the same limitation as the no-CD hack (the play CD is still needed for the blessing ceremony and at the end of the game).

This is probably a no brainer but...I was having a problem with the blessing ceremony too, after the ceremony, the movie would play for about three seconds then crash to the desktop. After many tries I finally talked to Zandalor first, (where he says I may ring the gong at any time) and it worked fine. So not talking to Zandalor must have been what was causing my problem.

Perhaps, but I really wouldn't know because the first thing I always do (I'm pretty sure this is how it is with most people) is talk to Zandalor. rolleyes

Yeah, that's what a *normal* person would have done hehe. I knew I had all the members, and was annoyed at how much time I'd spent "preparing" and just wanted to get it over with already. At first I thought something was wrong with my disk heh. On a side note, I still may go out and pick up another $10 copy of Divinity while I still can, "just in case" hehe. When I'm ready to go again, I'll experiment with this some more.

Oh, one other thing that I noticed that I don't remember seeing the first time, may be kind of a spoiler...

(highlight for spoiler) When Janus opens the two gates/portals (the Dreadknights come out of the left one, the Black Ring guys come out of the right one) he (Janus) immediately starts attacking the Dreadknights and kills them all.

What you mentioned in the spoiler text was a problem, I think you know what normally happens. wink

Yeah, I'd only seen the ceremony twice before that, so wasn't 100% sure, but that certainly didn't seem right. Yet it was happening everytime.
