Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks cant find save files on windows vista

ok i have been playing around with this game but as with all games i play i like to make regular backups of my save games. but the problem is when i go to the savegames file under programs/larian/deyond divinity/savegames there is only the bd_act whatever files none of my save game files show up? does vista hide the files or something or am i looking on the wrong spot? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on how you have your user accounts set up under Vista, if you install the game to the default Program Files path, Vista will create separate savegame folders for each user (using the path below), and then map that folder to the Beyond Divinity savegame folder so the game will just see the saves of the relevant user.

C:\Users\<account name>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Larian Studios\Beyond Divinity\savegames


In order to search for the save folders, you need to do an advanced search and tell Vista to include hidden and system folders.

ok great thanks Raze i knew someone would be able to help me i found the files but the search function doesnt seem to want to work, but i used the path you gave me of course replacing <user name> with my actual user name. thanks again. and i love this game btw.
