To reach the boney monster, you nead to head east from the imp kitchen, then turn south, then east again half way down the southern corridor (past the doors where you need to split up your main characters to get past the two lever controlled doors).
When you get to the dining room, you will find a locked door with a burning torch beside it. None of the other torches in the room are lit....
If you keep going south to the library, there is a locked door to the east that will not be unlocked until you do something else and then get back to this level. The door on the northern wall on the easter side of the library can be opened with a lever to the right. Get the tooth first, though, as the quest reward is very handy.

Have you already gone though the next level, past the pentagram room, but there were no keys on the floor in the room with the stone gargoyle statue? Did you find the crystal bag there?
There should be three keys on the floor; the middle one should trigger the appearence of a fixed anchient pyramid on the table, letting you teleport back to the pit level, where the 'no ordinary key' door should be opened.
Have you already completed the boney monster quest? If so, the technique in the topic
armory trick in act 1 can let you get through the wall.
Alternately, you can hex teleport a character into the locked room:

If the crystal bag was also missing, you can replace it:
