Will there be regeneration? I think that there should at least be mana regeneration, but HP regeneration might be good to have also.

Well, technically, we don't know if there will be either hit points or mana in the next game. It is probably a safe assumption, though.

DD had mana regeneration [EDIT: no it didn't <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" /> ] and a skill to enable health regeneration, BD had regeneration of both (with the rate determined by your stats), so unless DD2's combat / skill / stat / potion systems are changed dramatically, there is a very good chance mana will regenerate and at least a fair chance health will.

That's funny, in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> there isn't mana regeneration, survivor's instinct enables

I don't know what I was thinking of (probably just got used to mana regeneration in BD). I didn't use much magic in DD, so never really paid attention to mana. The restoration potions I used for healing were more than enough to keep the mana topped off.

Regardless of that inaccuracy, I'd still say there was a good chance of some form of health and mana regeneration in DD2.


The patch brings the game version up to 1.0034A. Version 1.0029A was the original English release, so I would recommend installing the patch.

Some re-release versions of the game may already be updated to the latest 1.0034A version, as shown in the bottom right corner of the main menu, so would not need to be patched. The DVD version is already updated, and the patch (designed for the CD version) should not be installed.
